It will come as no surprise to many of us but when we talk about mental health and what is good for us; time in nature always features high on the list of positives.
For some this means running marathons in the mountains, climbing hills or running as fast as you can around your town aiming for a new personal best.
For me it's the time I spend just walking about in parks and in the countryside which is literally on everyone's doorstep here in our beautiful wee country as a good friend of mine always refers to it.
I do lots of my sessions in public parks as part of my portfolio of services and every customer comments on how much more relaxed and easier they find talking about what troubles them out in the fresh air with the rustle of the wind and the babble of a brook in the background.
So this Bank Holiday weekend do your stress levels a favour and prescribe yourself a walk in nature and leave the phone at home or in the car. Trust me you will thank me for it.
Oh and keep your eyes peeled for me I might just be on a park bench near you relaxing and practising the art of being present.
Have a great weekend everyone.
